Pros: The property was a real suprise being on an estate just outside the town centre. The property is well laid out and welcoming. There is every convenience that you will need with a landing area outside your room that is effectively a second room. There is an excellent breakfast brought to you and put outside your room for you to enjoy at your leisure. The appearance of balloons, bunting, card and birthday cake was a lovely suprise on our return!

Cons: The bedroom is reached by a spiral staircase which would be difficult to negotiate if you are not good on your legs.

Pros: Everything, the hosts were fantastic, the accommodation was first class, extremely clean and well appointed. The breakfast was exceptional and presented with a smile. This was better than a 5* Hotel.

Pros: Room was immaculate. We had our own access with a key to the house. The hosts Mark and Nicky, were amazing. They even surprised us with balloons, a banner, a card and drinks when they found out it was our wedding anniversary. Breakfast was lovely every morning, and Mark had sone interesting tales to tell whilst setting up. We would definitely recommend, and when we come back to Richmond, would love to stay again. Thank you so much for making our anniversary celebrations so special 💕

Cons: I won't say I didn't like it, but the house is on a hill, and it's a very good hill, so good there is a defibrillator at the top. Great for keeping fit, which was great for us, as needed. You could cheat and get in the car though ;)

Had a great time in Richmond and the surrounding areas. Plenty to do and see.

Pros: Exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodation. Nice quiet and peaceful location. Hosts were lovely and welcoming and there was very nice breakfast selection.

Cons: Nothing!

Great Refuge from storm Floris August 2025

Pros: I was unexpectedly looking for a room in Richmond and was lucky to find such a last minute option. Mark was super helpful and went out of his way - genuinely appreciated. Great location with view over towards Richmond. Slept soundly in a nice room after a great warm shower. Breakfast was also great.

Cons: Richmond was a ^bit^ windy on this visit - but that wasn't in control of the owner and great views normally come with steep hills - at least i wasn't driving down the steep hill on ice in the winter!
