Akroyd House - The Mackintosh Room

Spotlessly clean and well maintained , great location for Piece Hall

Pros: Property was very clean and well kept, room was spotless as was the bathroom, very convenient parking , we did pay to reserve a spot. Its vicinity to where we wanted to go was perfect.

Cons: Little to find fault with other than noisy people above us at 04.00, but that isn’t a fault of the property

Ideally situated and managed to get one of the parking spaces.

Pros: Amenities, the cellar kitchen was a bonus. Everything was spotless and the chocolates were a nice touch

Cons: The damp smell in the hall and cellar kitchen was a bit off putting but no smell in the room. The room could do with a bit more surface space to put things on. The bedside tables were very small and the area where the tea and coffee things were left no space for anything else.

A hidden gem! This will be our first choice for all future stays in Halifax

Pros: Great location (walking distance to The Piece Hall) and the price was AMAZING compared to nearby hotels which were all fully booked anyway. It feels like this was a secret little find and we were buzzing. We were only staying one night for a gig, but it was perfect all around. New and modern fixtures throughout the room. The en suite shower was on another level! No in-person check-in, but all electronic codes functioned and we didn't need any assistance. Very smooth stay. We also paid for parking (£15) and the bay is directly adjacent to Akroyd House. Highly recommend staying here.

Cons: Honestly, nothing. Our stay was so perfect it felt surreal.

Pros: Beautifully appointed room, well equipped, great location, ideal for piece hall,free parking. Kitchen and snug should you want them.

Pros: Location is excellent, the room is lovely and the bed was so comfortable! Perfect accommodation, especially if visiting the Piece Hall.

Pros: We booked as we had tickets for the Piece Hall live performance and the location was excellent, along with the allocated car park space. Nice high spec fixtures and fittings, clear and precise entry details.

Cons: Proper milk for my tea!

Pros: We were so impressed The photos really don’t do the properly justice. It’s a hidden gem! Very clean, super comfy bed plus all the little details to make everything perfect.
