Pros: Lovely old building but needing attention in some places. Nice breakfast and lovely host. We were his last guests as he is retiring and moving out.

Pros: The host was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely big room and a great breakfast. The accommodation is in the centre, a short walk to local pubs for food, drinks and shops.

Excellent location

Pros: Location was excellent to enjoy all the facilities that Thirsk has to offer and a good base. The hotel is very local to the racecourse. Room was comfortable and facilities were good. Breakfast was great.

Cons: There is a warning in the bathroom, but the shower is not very powerful.

I would definitely come back again

Pros: The host was friendly and welcoming, he cooked delicious breakfasts. He was very informative about where to eat, and what to see in the area. The accommodation was lovely & the beds were so comfortable.

Cons: The entrance to the car park at the back of the hotel was narrow and was part of the building, which I know can’t be changed. But to drive in, you have to position the car just right or risk damage to the car.
