Character Cottage In West Burton

A very enjoyable stay.

Pros: The location was great.Lovely village pub which served very nice food.

Perfect location for exploring the Dales, Great little cottage in a lovely village.

Pros: The property was very clean and had been thoughtfully renovated to a very high standard. The bed was super comfy with beautiful quality linen. The cottage was generously equipped especially with those everyday household items which you often forget to pack. There`s plenty of road parking in the village but providing you park very close to the cottage so as not to restrict access, we were always able to park right outside. Our hosts, Lucy and Gareth responded immediately to any queries we had. The location was perfect for walking and exploring the Northern Dales and the Cauldron waterfall is just a 5 minute walk away. The local pub serves a delicious varied menu and the local residents were so friendly and ready to chat. We loved it and will definately return.

Pros: The Cottage was well kept and well equipt a fine example of a traditional dales cottage set in the beautiful village of West Burton. An ideal base to explore the yorkshire dales.

Wonderful cottage perfect for a cosy weekend trip :)

Pros: Cosy and nicely furnished cottage in a great rural location, West Burton was very quaint with a very nice pub and handy little shop nearby, locals all very welcoming. No issues with cleanliness when we arrived and the property was in very good condition. Modern-feeling kitchen and bathroom. Underfloor heating definitely appreciated.

Cons: No major issues, although we noticed that the front panel of the heating unit (in the area between the back outside door and bathroom door) was loose when we arrived at the property.

Lovely stay in a lovely clean & cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings.

Pros: It was a very cosy & had a lovely feel to it with peaceful & scenic surroundings. Loved the shower & sofas. The property was well presented & clean.

Cons: A couple of personal observations from us only: Hubby did bang his head a coupe of times walking through the bedroom door, maybe a sign above the door? I caught my head on the corner of the cupboard above the fridge when I got up from getting something out, maybe a corner protector? The bed was large & we slept well, but we felt the mattress could be turned or replaced as we were rolling to the edge of the bed each night as it felt the mattress was higher in the middle & the sides were compressed from use?

A peaceful stay in a comfortable cottage in a lovely village with great walks from the doorstep.

Pros: It was a lovely cottage, characterful as described, in a good location in a great village that we know very well, It was very calm and peaceful and Gareth and Lucy were very quick to respond to any of our questions. There are great walks from the doorstep and excellent local amenities nearby in Leyburn and Hawes. We had a wonderful time and even the weather behaved for us all week!

Fantastic Stay At Character Cottage West Burton

Pros: The cottage is exactly as advertised, its comfortable and has everything you would need for your stay. The location is scenic, peaceful, locals are friendly. This was our first visir to Yorkshire and we will definitely be back. Thank you to the owners for keeping us informed throughout. Would highly recommend. The Hannah's ☺️

Cons: There wasnt anything we didnt like.

Dales cottage

Pros: Very cosy relaxing. I love the Dales grew up there as a child.. lovely bed

Cons: Little bit noisy with heating at night.. but did not really bother us.

Cosy relaxing stay in a characterful cottage

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage, it was warm and cosy and a perfect place to relax at the end of the day, though compact it had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We especially loved the log burning stove which we don't have at home that was a real treat. The area around is beautiful with lots of places to go and things to do we would recommend Bolton castle and the Leyburn Shawl walk.

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like, weather was pretty awful for 2 days but it didn't spoil our trip.
