We had a lovely family get away and recharged the batteries.

Pros: Keys were in the door on arrival so nice and easy to access.

Cons: The cottage is lovely and in a beautiful location. Could do with some touch ups on the paintwork etc and the showerhead needs a good clean but overall I was very happy with the cottage.

Very nice apartment in stunning area

Pros: The location was perfect- right on the edge of one of the prettiest villages in England and only a short walk from a dramatic waterfall. The windows overlook the beautiful garden and the river. The apartment is spacious and light. The decor suits the age of the property. We had a lovely stay there.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike. However, we found communication slightly frustrating. I tried three times to contact the owner to let them know we were planning to bring our dog (as requested) but received no reply. It also took a while to get through to get instructions for entering the property (also as requested). The property still lacks those little welcoming touches that make you feel at home. There were a few tea bags, but some milk, coffee etc, and maybe shower gel wouldn’t have gone amiss (i.e., the minimum you would expect of a budget hotel)
