Mount Terrace YORK

Quiet and comfortable stay in a character terrace house.

Pros: Well supplied three bedroom terrace in convenient location. Bus into York from the main road nearby and the house had everything we required for our short stay.

Cons: Spread over four floors so access to floors with heavy luggage was a challenge. Access for taxis and Uber is tricky as the lane is narrow. One cancelled because he couldn’t get through.

Lovely for us as a family - perfect location.

Pros: A total gem - beautifully located - the sort of property that gives the trip something additional. Will book again. It’s great for fully mobile folk - if you are limited - there are other places to stay.

Cons: Bathroom facilities on 1st floor and second floor.

York Weekend Break

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Mount Terrace, York. The property was in a perfect position - not in the busy town centre but still in a very easy walkable distance from the centre as well as the station. The property was beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed sitting and having a good natter / catch up in the cosy lounge in the evening. There was also easily accessible parking very close to the property. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

It was brilliant and would love to come back to this beautiful house.

Pros: It was beautiful - a lovely period property, pretty courtyard, comfortable beds and very picturesque location.

Cons: Didn’t realise parking was quite a long way away. And the stairs are a bit tiring!

Perfect for our group and needs for the two nights

Pros: The property's location in a quiet, narrow, alley next to homes with beautiful gardens does not make it the easiest to find but does bring so many other benefits including haven-like qualities close to the city. We liked the quirky layout that suited our family. We liked that the parking (at another property) was not too far away and the owner there gave us a good old Yorkshire welcome. We also found ourselves making up stories about the missing room - which kept us entertained as a mixed age group for the whole stay. Exactly what we needed. Thank you.

Cons: Its not the easiest place to find - perhaps a what-three words location as well as the directions might help.
