Pros: The property was well situated for walking into York. It was a great base for exploring the city.

Very convenient for a visit to York.

Pros: It was an easy walk into town and to the train station. There was parking for one car outside. Wifi info was provided. Once we worked out how to turn on the fire and the TVs, it was comfortable as a base for our visit to York.

Cons: There were no instructions on anything in the property. It took us a while to work out that the radiators didnt work, and the only way to keep warm (it was a col weekend) was to turn on the wall fire (which was effective once we sorted out how to work it) and electric heaters in the bedrooms, keeping all doors shut. There was no heater in the bathroom. And it took us a while to work ot the TV controls. Instructions would be useful.

Pros: Location and ease of access to the centre of York Layout of the house worked well for us. Parking available right in front of the property

Very comfortable and a great location

Pros: The house is very comfortable and clean and breakfast cereals, tea and coffee, and milk were provided which was very useful and there is a corner shop a hundred yards away for anything else you need. I would have liked a bedside lamp, and curtains as the blind rattled somewhat when the window was open. I would stay here again as it was a short walk into town and the station and I didn't need to use the car at all.

Cons: I booked The Chic Haven due to its proximity to York Racecourse as I was running the York 10k run on Sunday. I asked for key information a few weeks ahead of arrival to find out what i needed to do but didn't get any reply, nor when I messaged again the day before arrival. I finally got the key code when I was standing outside the property and can only assume that there have been issues in the past so that key collection is only given out at the last possible moment but a message to that effect would have been very useful.

Pros: Location and the owners response to sorting out an issue with the cot.

Cons: Telly connection to Internet/ available channels could have been better.

Amazing location high standard would highly recommend

Pros: Easy location short walk into the city free parking outside gorgeous as well equipped inside and comfortable inside even had a welcome basket with cereal biscuits tea coffee etc but make sure you bring some milk! Would highly recommend bed comfy and high standard of decoration

Cons: Couldn’t get the internet working for some reason but managed without it! And would’ve loved a bench or table chairs in the garden as nothing in the shed outside and was gloriously sunny but didn’t affect stay

Pros: The location is close to York railway station, really central. The house is clean and stylishly decorated with a sweet little garden. A pleasure to stay a couple of nights in, and a big thank you to the hosts. So much more fun than a hotel and good value.

Cons: Because I hadn't stayed in a AirBnB before, I found the booking.com side of things pretty confusing. Booking.com kept sending messages which I wasn't sure I needed to reply to or act on - a confirmation message after I had confirmed everything, for example, and more messages that just muddied the waters. I found the lock box aspect a bit stressful because the system didn't let me know when I would get the code. It finally arrived while I was enroute, having spent a few hours on the train worrying that I'd end up stuck on the doorstep with my elderly mum, who isn't well, with no way to get in. It turned out fine but booking.com really wasn't clear. As someone who has worked online since the mid 1990s it wasn't a good CX. Nothing to do with the hosts, obvs. Just one thing for the hosts to know: the blinds in both bedrooms are need fixing. Otherwise absolutely spot on!

Pros: The location to York city centre was really good! The house is stylishly decorated. Everything was lovely and clean,beds were really comfy! The house as everything you need for a comfortable stay!

Cons: Didn't not like anything as said above house is stylishly decorated would just say it could do with a bit of tlc in some areas- the lights at the side of the double bed didn't work,the curtain pole in the lounge is broken also the lampshade in the lounge is broken but nothing major!
