Seraph House

Wonderful location, lovely property. Would stay again.

Pros: The property is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated and cosy. The location is fantastic! Around a mile to York Minster and all there is to see and do in York. Plenty of on street parking and a peaceful part of town. The hosts were lovely - very responsive and forthcoming with the information we needed. Highly recommend.

Cons: The only downside to the property is that is a little difficult to accommodate more than three people comfortably in the living room. That said, with so much exploring to do, time spent indoors is limited. And a few glasses would be welcome! Minor issues with a lovely house.

Lovely and convenient place to stay!

Pros: Great location, right by the train station. Good sized rooms which were all comfortable enough.

Cons: Could do with a rug or two as the floor was quite cold.

Pros: Great place in a quiet street and only a short walk in to the city. Had a great time staying here, owners are very friendly and dealt with the odd query I had very quickly and gave clear check in and check out instructions. Would highly recommend

Great location for a weekend stay for 4 people

Pros: Clean and well located. Lots of clean bed linen and towels.

Cons: Key lock box was a little fiddly and no bread knife. Very small points as overall we were very satisfied.

Lovely stay.

Pros: The house was so close to the centre and it was a nice walk. Very clean and everything you needed for a lovely stay.

Cons: The single beds are not very comfortable. More information about parking outside the house, as we received a parking ticket in the morning.

Pros: Great access to the city. Quiet location for when we needed to rest up after busy days sightseeing. Prompt and friendly communication with the owner. Good value for money.

Cons: Nothing we didn't like. I read the reviews, knew the thoughts of others but hey, it was a good price and we liked it!

Great location, nice house!

Pros: Great location, rooms were big enough, comfortable beds, very clean, enclosed back yard. Ideal for city and racecourse.

Cons: Not sure oven worked properly as pizzas took ages to cook. Bistro set/table and chairs in the back yard would have been handy when sitting outside.

Great place to stay

Pros: Great location just outside the city, great shower. Communication with owner fantastic. Main bedroom was beautiful, there was everything you need in the house

Cons: sofa bed very uncomfortable and like other reviewers have said a comfy sofa to sit on would make it perfect but we would definitely stay there again.

Short break

Pros: House was lovely with the bonus of tea and coffee but some problems Location was great with parking outside Bath lovely Owner communicated well and helpful

Cons: Beds.....on all reviews saying the same so really should sort them out The double bed had a huge dip The single beds were so noisy and on the floor Futon so uncomfortable and useless as a sofa with only seating for 3 in the room so not easy to socialise Bathroom needs attention under the boiler Such a shame these easily fixed things let it down

Great location, clean and tidy. Beds let it down a bit

Pros: It was clean, equipped with everything we needed, and the shower was nice.

Cons: The double bed has a huge dip in the middle, which is not a problem if there’s just one in the bed, but would be uncomfortable with 2. The single beds are futons on the floorboards and are very creaky whenever you move
