All staff are so lovely and professional. Just like staying in a hotel, if not better

Pros: Breakfast was great for the money. Decaf coffee and or tea would be a great addition pls. There wasn't any available in the Breakfast buffet or at the bar/reception. A female member of staff gave me two of her own herbal/decaf teas on Sunday night 1/3/26. I was so grateful for her kindness. Maybe she can be staff member of the month pls

Cons: Carpets on staircase weren't as clean during this 2 day stay as they were in September 2025.

Amazing staff and would stay again

Pros: Very accommodating with late arrival, especially after delays with flight and hence waiting an hour for next bus.

Cons: Beds not the most comfortable but with a hostel you get what you pay for

Great value for money and Amazing staff members

Pros: I liked how helpful and friendly the staff were. The place was clean and tidy, and very affordable. Apart from the coffee machine not working on the first morning, the breakfast supplies weren't bad! Highly recommend.

Cons: They sold towels in case you didn't bring your own, but £6 for a fibrelight towel was a bit of a stretch

Great stay

Pros: Really interesting historical building - I like how they have included information boards about the different rooms and what this house was originally like, it’s fascinating! Nice quiet location and short walk from the centre.

Cons: We had the triple room with private en-suite which was fine but could have done with the bathroom being a bit bigger!

Pros: Good location. The beds in my shared room had privacy curtains, which was a nice touch. No self-catering facilities, which might be annoying if planning a longer stay, but staff are happy to help put with hot water for tea, and if you're not planning on cooking anyway, the bar downstairs has food options, too. Very pleasant stay!
