YHA Grinton Lodge

Pros: Everything was perfect home from home spacious rooms clean toilets and bathrooms communal areas all clean and tidy and the views are breathtaking will be booking again very soon

Pros: Stayed in a pod, was comfortable and warm and great value. Showers were good and the location was stunning!

Pros: Gorgeous building, good facilities - shared kitchen use for self catering but also nice food on offer. Sociable setting (if that’s what you want) with friendly guests. Warm and clean, good showers and good communication from staff. Beautiful setting

Cons: Rooms are more on basic side but as can be expected for YHA and aligns with the cost. Was comfortable though. Only negative is I was provided with a travel cot that was slightly broken and was also not given a mattress (I had luckily brought my own)

Pros: As a first time Senior youth hosteller I had a great experience. Staff were lovely and great facilities. Outside surroundings were beautiful.

Great location, interesting building and not too expensive.

Pros: The location was beautiful, the building was unique and the room was comfortable enough.

Cons: The one thing I have to complain about was the automatic light at the entrance of the room. I was travelling with my partner and father and every time any one of us got up during the night to use the toilet, the light would turn on and wake us all up. It really wasn't ideal.

Pros: Unrivalled views, lovely room with huge bathroom. A chicken in the courtyard. As always with YHA, a good breakfast

Pros: We loved our 2 night stay at Grinton lodge, a lovely clean kitchen, comfy sofas in the lounge, adequately clean toilets and showers. The bunk bed was really comfy, with nice quilts and pillows. Informative helpful and friendly staff. Great location for a walk into Reeth, an uphill walk back from Reeth which seemed easier after a couple of pints 😁

Cons: The kitchen was a little on the small side at peak times.

Pros: Location easy access cleanliness facilities excellent staff friendly and helpful. Brilliant will stay again. Thankyou Looking at becoming a member. My party of family and friends feel exactly the same. Great stop over. Thankyou.
