Cottage On The Green

A perfect comfortable stay. The accommodation and the area was amazing. A fabulous weekend.

Pros: We were really surprised by the extras we received. We wasn't expecting breakfast but there was bread milk cheese butter, bacon crisps biscuits and crackers. The accommodation was perfect. super clean and well equipped. The area was lovely, 3 pubs on our doorstep, (especially the crooked tap)and a lovely bakery and cafe bar only a few minutes walk. It was a nice 50minute stroll into York... but we decided to come back to spend the second evening in Acomb because we enjoyed it so much. Just a perfect stay, we have already recommended it to friends.

Cons: Absolutely nothing negative to say!!! An earlier check in or late check out would have been preferred but the only thing that could have possibly made our stay any better would have been a hot tub. Amazing accommodation.

Very comfy and cozy stay.

Pros: Beautifully presented property. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome basket of goodies is a lovely touch. Lounge area has plenty of comfortable seating and an easy to use log burnerBeds were comfortable and there is plenty of storage. The bathroom is spacious with a great shower. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon

Pros: The house was a gem of a place. The house itself was perfect very clean, comfortable. Sam has thought of everything someone on holiday would need and provided it. All the glasses matched and the plates etc were lovely blue Denby ware. Everthing was tastful. There was a lovely hamper of food. A snack when we arrived and breakfast for the morning. The location. Was perfect.

Lovely cost cottage, great host, great location

Pros: Very comfy beds, lovely host, great communication, really cosy with the log burner, great value for money. Close to town with a few nice pubs near by. Host left a lovely Wellcome pack and a bottle of wine.

Cons: No private parking

Pros: Loved everything from the location, the property, the hamper surprise on arrival, and especially the hosts - you can sense their pride in their property and the customer service is second to none. Will definitely be seeing us again.

Great for a family break.

Pros: Easy to find, and close to the city, removed from the hustle and bustle enough that it felt like a peaceful break. Really enjoyed the welcome basket and breakfast goods. They were a lovely surprise

Pros: The cottage was lovely and cosy. It was of a high standard. The location was great and the local amenities were great.

Pros: The location is superb. The welcome basket was a lovely touch too. The place felt like a home from home!

Very enjoyable

Pros: A safe yard for the dog and close to York. A surprise hamper on our arrival and everything we needed for our stay.

Cons: Having to find a parking space on the road.

Perfect house for a first family getaway

Pros: Excellent location to walk into York (about 30/40 mins) and we were with a pram. Close to the national rail museum as a tourist attraction. Green across the way was perfect for walks to get our 5 month old to nap and local pubs / Indian were great. House itself was a home from home - 2 comfy beds, clean bathroom and cosy loving kitchen space - everything a family could need/ want.

Cons: It took us a few days to work out how to keep the heating on at night - as we have a baby it needed to be warm - but this was our fault not the property.
