Quiet House

Great family house in York

Pros: Great location and the house had everything we needed.

Cons: Previous guests hadn't reported a sink leak, just put a pan under it, the owner was very responsive when we let him know, and set to getting in sorted.

Great little bolt hole for a stay in York.

Pros: Location was perfect and it was a really quiet estate so no noise at night. Ideal for a weekend stay in York. Really clean and tidy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Beds comfy and decorated really tastefully. The park and ride system is fantastic and less than a 10min drive away from the house. We would certainly recommend using this.

Cons: York is an expensive place to visit and this was expensive for the one night be all relative with regards the hotels in the area. The property was over looked at the back with a small garden and the grass had taken over in the beautiful sunshine. We were 4 adults and so relaxing in the front room was quite cramped as there is only the one sofa and 1 chair.

Pros: We stayed for a last minute trip to York. The position of the property is fabulous with the bus stop literally round the corner, it made exploring a doddle. The house is very clean, warm and comfortable with all the kit you need for an easy stay. The owners communication is excellent & made for a reassuring stay. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Pros: Nice house and really confortable beds, easy check-in, fully equiped kitchen ready to use,

Cons: The heating was pre-set but at night it went off

A welcoming, clean house with an ev charger. Ideal for a small family.

Pros: It was clean and welcoming and met our needs. There was an EV charger for our car.

Cons: The small room was a bit too small but ideal for a child. The other two room were a good size and the lounge and kitchen a decent size and comfortable.

Good base for a city break

Pros: Good location on regular bis service into town, station etc.

Pros: The house was really well located in a quiet sreet with a bus stop very close by and easy access to the A64. The property had everything we needed for a family of 4 staying for a full week. Clear instructions about checking in and out.

Very good and can be easily improved to be outstanding.

Pros: Very clean and cosy, and perfect for plug-in hybrid or EV cars!

Cons: The mattresses could be a little better, but nothing deal breaker. The top floor was a little loud. The grass could be cut more often perhaps.

York Birthday Weekend

Pros: House is fantastic, great location to York - bus stop is a 20 second walk from house, bus cost £4 return and took around 30 mins - buses run every 20 mins on a Saturday. Beds really comfy, lovely spacious lounge, kitchen fully equipped. Host was very responsive to questions. Will definitely stay again.

Cons: could not fault the house or host.

Pros: Quiet and homley was nice super clean and was 20 minutes from city centre on bus as an uber was expensive and the bus was 5.50 all day

Cons: Could of been something to mention a bus stop at end of road but optional
