Fabulous stay

Pros: Beautiful room spotlessly clean, very comfortable huge bed, bathroom was superb the shower and products available were lovely. The breakfast was amazing lot's of choice and the food was delicious. All the staff were friendly and welcoming

Very enjoyable stay in the Dales.

Pros: There was a slight problem with our small double room. But the receptionist apologised and upgraded us to a suite.

Cons: Nothing to complain about except the heavy rain!

Lovely old inn in beautiful countryside.

Pros: Quaint, character, log fires, good parking. Good food.

Cons: Bit disappointed they couldn’t accommodate a simple dietary requirement.

A great choice for a romantic meal. Food was excellent.

Pros: Breakfast was very good and the evening meal was excellent. The room was very clean and fresh.

Cons: The double bed was two singles pushed together and not very comfortable. The hot water pressure was low. There was a dog barking from the room next door although it only barked as we entered our room.

Pros: The blue lion had a lovely small country house feel to it . Lovely building with nicely sized rooms . We had a good square roomy bedroom with a very clean classic bathroom. Good tasty breakfast with great menu choice and friendly local staff.

Excellent stay.

Pros: This old coaching house hotel is wonderful. The location is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dale's. We had the best ever experience, with a free room upgrade for my wife's birthday. Our room was massive , tastefully decorated, with probably the biggest and best bathroom I have seen in a hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean. The Georgian coaching house / pub is so lovely, with old stone floors and open fires. The evening meal was top notch, and the breakfast was superb. The staff were all friendly, and if we were in the area again, we would definitely book the Blue Lion.

Cons: Having not booked another night. 😪
