The Stone House Hotel is a classic Edwardian country house built in 1908, set in a stunning, secluded spot in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales near the town of Hawes. It has been family-run for over 40 years. Many rooms at Stone House have views of the beautiful gardens that surround the hotel and have Smart TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities amongst other amenities. With original oak panelling in the main lounge and real log fires throughout, the picturesque Stone House Hotel is the perfect home away from home, there is also a bar serving local ales, spirits and a range of wines by the glass which can also be enjoyed in the library/billiard room or the garden. Lovely food, friendly staff, gorgeous location.

Pros: Beautiful property in stunning surroundings, gorgeous views, lovely room with our own conservatory, perfect for relaxing with our dog.

Pros: Fantastic staff, very welcoming atmosphere and great food/drink. Position of the hotel is great for local sights and places to visit. It couldn't have been a better stay at Stone House Hotel to celebrate our engagement!

Pros: the staff were very friendly and supportive and made the stay wonderful the breakfast was amazing too

Cons: the noise of a fan in the morning at the back of the property, However overall we really felt the stay was very good and would return

Pros: The Hotel was wonderful - very comfortable, warm and inviting and the staff could not do enough for you - they were very friendly and accommodation and we will definitely book again.

Great!

Pros: The staff were amazing, welcoming us like old friends We were extremely well looked after and were made to feel very special. Our little spaniel Willow loved it and had lots of attention. The food was lovely both in the evening and at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble The atmosphere was fantastic and the decor was in keeping with the character of the property, with plenty of cosy seating areas to relax in. Possibly the best place we've ever stayed!

Great location, spotlessly clean, friendly but limited dinner choice.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of small details, for example, the mugs in the room and the old bedside telephone, were lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean. The setting and views were beautiful.

Cons: The food was very, very good but expensive at over £40 per person. It was a set price for two courses or three courses. Really liked the hotel and would stay again, but I would probably eat out for more choice as it was a big expense on top of the B&B cost.
