Sarah made our stay that much special, very hard working, friendly . A real gem. Thank you Sarah.

Pros: Loved the character. Amazing old property. Room was comfortable for the size. Thought the individual candles lit every night quite special. Nice cozy fireplaces .

Cons: Shame the weather prevented us from walking up to the waterfall. Not your fault.

Nice quirky pub with alot of character!

Pros: Location was stunning, the pub itself was very quirky & cosy, food was lovely. The TV in the room was fab, great size & had all the apps on it (Netflix, Disney, Prime, etc) coffee in the room & at breakfast was nice.

Cons: Check in was a little bit confusing, it would maybe be helpful to have some signs up of the process.

Good all round stay in a beautiful location with good food and extra facilities in apartments

Pros: I stayed in the one bed apartment. It had a fully equipped kitchen, decent lounge area, large bedroom and good bathroom with a shower. Great views, cozy with a huge flat screen smart TV. The heating is fully adjustable and the lounge has a small dining table with 3 seats and a comfy large sofa. I've stayed here a few times for work and will do again.

Cons: The car park was not available during my stay which hadn't been communicated prior. It was being resurfaced. I stay in the apartment because breakfast isn't served until 08:00 a.m and I love the extra space. Dinner in the pub is very popular, so book before your stay. Dinner service ends at 08:30.

Pros: A 13th century inn in the trail of JMW Turner- steeped in history

Cons: Reception could be better. The sausage bacon and scrambled eggs could be better. They could have provided omelette as well

Had a lovely stay, food was a little disappointing as not hot. Enjoyed it all the same.

Pros: Great property, very friendly and fabulous rustic feel. Staff were brilliant xx loved looking at the red squirrels and pheasants from our bedroom window .

Pros: Lovely place, food and staff were great and our bedroom was lovely, big comfy bed and cracking shower. Very dog friendly, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also saw a red squirrel from our bedroom window.😁

Highly recommend !

Pros: From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we had a fantastic stay. Food, location, staff, decor, room, even the weather (snow) was fantastic. We have stayed in many pubs over the years but hands down this pub was the best !!! We will definitely return.
