Simonstone Hall Hotel

Character, charm and comfort in this beautiful escape, where time stood still.

Pros: The whole ambiance of the building, my style completely. It felt like being home but in a grander way. The staff were all very polite and welcoming and the rooms were comfortable and relaxing. We stayed for dinner as it was a celebration stay and the food was delicious, seated in a cosy spot by a glowing fire. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was fresh, clean, perfectly cooked and delicious. The views overlooking the misty moors in February, from the comfortable cosy interiors of this 17th century hall, were stunning. Time stood still for 24 hours. We hope to return again.

Cons: We went during a really cold snowy snap of weather and the rooms are on the chilly side . However, the log fires downstairs are really lovely and welcoming

A fantastic venue with amazing staff.

Pros: A fantastic stay at the Simonstone Hall Hotel. Our room was luxurious and spotlessly clean. The menu choices were fantastic! Hats off to the chef, we had dinner which was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast the following morning was also first rate. Special thanks to Patton and Sue who looked after us during our stay and were so knowledgeable about the area! An amazing venue, we will certainly be returning in the very near future. Thank you all for a great experience. Les

We wanted a nice w/e away with good walks easily accessible . Which is what we got

Cons: Heating system is archaic . Impossible not to have large bore pipes running throughout bedroom running hot 24/7. Even in summer . Consequently room was more akin to a sauna bath even if window open due to facing due south . Food was god but London prices

Pros: The location and views were outstanding. The staff were informal and wonderfully accommodating. Genuine people interested in your day. The room and cleanliness was above and beyond expectations. A completely memorable experience. We have found out hideaway. Going back for longer stays.
