A wonderful , restful and pretty stopover on a long distance walk.
Pros: A very satisfying, well cooked breakfast was provided. The location was superb and we were hugely appreciative for the service, being off season and otherwise a maintenance period. There was plenty of local information provided.
Cons: Nothing really.

Couldnβt ask for more will stay again
Pros: Beautiful location right at the foot of Butter tub pass. Great proximity to Hawes. Couldnβt ask for more from the facilities, bar, warm well furnished room, big home cooked breakfast and customer carpark. Will stay again!
Cons: Donβt know what the drying facilities are like (didnβt ask or use), but could be needed given the mixed weather.

Extremely comfortable and enjoyable, hosts lovely
Pros: I had a wonderful comfortable stay at Kearton Guest House. It was so peaceful and the view from my room was fantastic. Great Yorkshire country side to view whilst cosy inside on a blustery day. My room was clean and well set up, for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was delicious and hot. Plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: I don't think there was anything in particular I didn't like.

Just what we needed after our 20-mile walk
Pros: Exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Helped to dry our things after a long, wet day's walk. Evening meal and breakfast both perfect.
Cons: Nothing - all was great.

overall a very good stay.
Pros: We ate in the evening in the restaurant and food was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Staff were very pleasent.
Cons: Only downside was that our room was too hot and difficult to sleep.

If you want a stop-over, hearty food, comfy bed, or a base to explore the area, Keartons the place.
Pros: The location is superb, at the quiet head of a thriving Yorkshire Dale, with plenty of varied accessible walks, many on the doorstep[as well as being on the Coast to Coast Path, with interesting adventurers on their way through] The staff are friendly, interesting, and interested, so I imagine if one were to stay a week or more they may feel like friends! There is a surprising amount going on in the Dale, so rainy days are covered, too. A surprising amount went on in the past, so history or industrial archeology enthusiasts have loads to find out.
Cons: I can't think of owt I didn't like, really, though the water pressure is very low, but that is a problem for everyone in the village and Kearton House can hardly be blamed. I had a feeling that perhaps the small-scale busyness of the Dale maybe under threat to depopulation and touristification, but that is a world-wide malaise.

Fab- thank you for your attention to detail and friendly manner.
Pros: Adam and Caz were superb. The room was better than expected, modern, clean, comfy. The hot water was nice and hot! We booked our stay halfway through a long distance walk meaning comfort and food could make or break our stay. Adam and his daughter cooked to a high standard and the food and portion sizes were excellent. A great place to stay, we will be back! Thanks all.
Cons: Some elements looked tired in contrast to the renovations that are taking place. You can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into the sections that are completed. I know its a matter of time and funds! Keep up the great work!
