Worth booking

Pros: Although refurbishment going on it did not interfere with our stay. We would definitely book again The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons: Disabled access to the swimming pool, which is a big plus factor for me

Pros: The size of the room was excellent, the room was nice and warm. Friendly staff

Cons: The noise of the traffic in the evening

Pros: Staff couldn't be more helpful, food was good , hotel in refurbishment process but did not spoil our stay.

Cons: I could not use the swimming pool as I have mobility problems, and access by ladder steps only. Would benefit disabled if pool access was enabled.

Pros: Very pleasant hotel, great location on the canal and very friendly and helpful staff.

A good basic hotel.

Pros: The hotel and back bedrooms overlooks the canal, with lovely views and you can park up and walk into Skipton along the towpath in 30 minutes. Bedrooms are a little dated but clean and warm. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was ok but could be better, breakfast was sufficient but tea and coffee was not hot.

Cons: Pool area is in need of a serious update but the pool was warm. The other public areas are gradually being updated, not easy in a rather plain 1988 hotel. Spotted bacon on the restaurant floor and one young staff member said “oh it’s ok, we’ll Hoover it up later!” Not the point…I scooped it up myself. However most of the staff seemed efficient.

Pros: Lovely hotel, friendly staff, room was very spacious and comfortable, great facilities, ideal location

Pros: room was massive, and all the usual facilities bed was really comfy and the shower was great. there was an excellent spread for Breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff

Pros: Staff friendly,nice large room clean all around, nice pint had food on two occasions plenty of it the braised beef was spot on overall enjoyable stay will be back again Thoughy

Cons: Thought the bar was a bit pricey

Outstanding in all ways, friendly and comfortable.

Pros: Great location, extremely well equipped, the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . No faults for us at all.

Cons: I cannot think of anything we didn’t like. Possibly look at the sealant in the shower room and our room was too hot. However the weathered in February is so unpredictable with snow constantly forecast and not arriving.

Pros: Lovely room overlooking the canal and countryside Great breakfast. Well positioned for walking. 1.4m walk along the canal towpath to Lovely Skipton. Would stay there again
