Perfect staycation

Pros: Perfect location, lovely atmosphere, delicious food and very good staff.

Cons: Only improvement would be to have the TV on a moveable stand so better comfort in seating area while watching TV

Brilliant from start to finish

Pros: Everything from start to finish was exceptional! Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful and professional. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. The breakfast was well done, and catered to my allergy needs. Location was central but quiet, the hotel grounds were lovely. On check out they kindly offered to hold our bags so we could have a stress free day exploring before heading back - top class service! Wish we could have stayed another night.

Cons: No negatives! Best hotel stay we have had in a long time.

Pros: The best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel is so clean and the breakfast is also excellent. The most important all the staff is so helpful and I love their sincerely caring attitude and hospitality. Definitely always the one for me in York. Thank you so much for everything

Great place to stay in York.

Pros: Nice room, booked a deluxe which had a smaller bed than expected but very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff team

Cons: Charging for parking is disappointing given the room price and that it’s a hotel with dedicated parking behind

A really enjoyable stay

Pros: Liked the location, staff were excellent. Very helpful and professional and we were greeted warmly with room ready well before check in time Special mention to breakfast and bar staff. Very welcoming, knowledgeable about York and a credit to hotel. Breakfast was superb too!

Cons: Bed wasn’t well made and room was smaller than we expected

Perfect choice for a city break

Pros: Fabulous location and a really welcoming reception: so appreciated after a long journey. Room was blissfully quiet.

Cons: Room hadn't been checked for everything being 100% ready. But swiftly rectified.

Perfect place to stay for a York weekend

Pros: Great hotel - nice rooms, well set out, great service, nice ambiance throughout the day and night

Cons: There was a strange smell in the room we were first assigned, but after pointing it out we were immediately offered another without quibbling

Highly recommend.

Pros: - Staff service was outstanding, made my family and I (especially our pooch) feel more than welcome. - Bar area was great if you have a dog and the food was to a very high standard. - Rooms were great with spacious areas for a small family. - Central to the centre easily accessible via foot, 6 min walk.

Cons: It was perfect.
