Great place for a weekend stay

Pros: Location to city centre was fantastic. Easy to find and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Welcome package was extremely useful & gratefully received. Bedrooms were small but had all we needed. Beds very comfortable and the big towels were extra fluffy!

Cons: We had three people with disabilities and although the shower area was great it could do with some rails as you did feel a little vulnerable. Would like to see garden a bit neater.

Pros: Perfect location and the garden was a great bonus.

Pros: Great location lovely garden, host responsive and helpful to our questions. So close to everything but lovely and quiet apart from the minster bells on Sunday morning. But if you like them they are a bit special. Big living area as well.

Cons: No complaints.

Comfortable and stylish property in a fantastic central location.

Pros: Perfect location, spotlessly clean, comfortable and stylish. Communication with the host was quick, easy and friendly. Arrival package of milk, wine, biscuits, crisps was a nice touch. Despite the listing saying there was no Internet, there is WiFi, which was a nice surprise. My family had a lovely stay and would love to visit again.

Cons: The fire alarms of the flats in the building are connected and the guy upstairs managed to set them off two evenings running with his cooking, which was a bit disconcerting, as at first we didn't know the cause, but that is not this host's fault, just something to be aware of. The lock on the patio door is hard to relock - but does work if you jiggle it around!

Pros: We were very pleased with our stay at the Garden House. The location is excellent for the city center and main attractions and the train station is at walking distance. The house itself is well equipped, clean and spacious. We had very little contact with the renter (only one message through Booking.com I believe) yet everything went smoothly.

Perfect apartment in a lovely historic setting.

Pros: Loved that the hosts were able to accommodate our last minute request to access the property early to dump bags - this saved us on left luggage costs. Key collection was really easy.

Cons: Only issue is that it was extremely warm at the weekend and there wasn't much air through the sky light windows. Couldn't find any fans in the property so night times were a bit uncomfortable because of the the heat.

In the heart of York a valuable gem of a stay!

Pros: The Garden House was not only well appointed, well maintained, but also extremely well situated for exhilarating York exploration! The location was so convenient for walking the wall, visiting all of the beautiful shops, churches and historical sites; in addition, the bus line is extremely close, as well as guided tour meeting spots and the recommended car park are all within close proximity to the Garden House. The flat itself is exceptional in comfort and aesthetic. It was such a luxury to have a great outdoor area to enjoy within the heart of the city! Having a full kitchen with all the necessities available made family dining both inside and outside a great option while visiting which makes the value of this York accommodation even more exceptional. The bedrooms were all upstairs and perfect, with wardrobes in each, and pristine linens on comfortable beds.

Pros: Lovely property, great amenities and extra thoughtful touches. Amazing location for visiting York, could walk everywhere!
