Spacious Five-Bedroom House Close to York Centre - Orchid House

Pros: Lovely house, great kitchen. Nice to sit in the garden. Towels were provided (I was concerned as not mentioned) Huge Tesco nearby (15min walk) and there is a shopping trolley. (I know because we replaced it as it broke on our way back) Amazing bathroom, huge, great shower.

Cons: Couldn't open the conservatory door. Some of the rooms had odd tables (like pop up ones) but all ok. Some of my group said the pillows not comfortable but I was ok. Quite far from town, we got a bus, then taxis but as 7 of us needed 2. The big taxi wasn't available on the Sunday! Had a bad experience with Deliveroo but apparently there's a takeaway quite close. Would be helpful to have a menu etc in the house.

Pros: 4 of us used it as a base for 2 nights when walking the Ebor way . A lot better value than staying in a hotel. There was a washing machine to clean clothes but no drier or washing line so we had to use the conservatory to dry the clothes. Kitchen had plenty of utensils etc. for us to make our own breakfast. Well placed for the race course or getting into the city. Wouldn't describe it as luxurious but comfortable enough to use as a base . The owner responded quickly to my queries .

We had a lovely 30 year reunion. Exactly what we needed

Pros: Spacious, lovely area. Very comfortable beds. Good showers. Nice bedding.

Cons: Curtains lacking hooks. Conservative door unable to unlock. Whilst on the surface clean under back bedroom bed not clean, glass table top and inside windows could do with a clean. Could do with a few pictures hooks but no pictures.

Pros: The house was very well equipped and all equipment was working well except for the cooker. Anyway, the owner helped us to overcome this problem and we're happy

Pros: Very spacious. Lovely enclosed garden. Very helpful owners. Well equipped kitchen (apart from cork screw and wine glasses) good bathrooms.

Gorgeous house, well maintained and comfortable.

Pros: The house is beautiful, ergonomic, memory foam pillows on every bed, huge bathroom and a second smaller bathroom, great water pressure and stacked kitchen with utensils.

Cons: We had a great stay. No negs.

Pros: Loved the house and the area little far from centre but right nect to a tesco aswell which was good so much room

Cons: A problem with the boiler so we had no hot water in the morning fixed it tho and not there fault they're trying to sort it, back door is quite hard to lock as well just as a warning

Pros: Large accommodation which would fit a big group comfortably. Clean and has a good kitchen if you need to cook.

Cons: Location a bit away from town but quiet residential area so that's a positive.

Pictures don't do the house justice, beautiful house.

Pros: Lots of bedrooms with single beds, big garden, kitchen & dinning room.

Cons: Electrics kept tripping everytime we put kettle on in morning.

Pros: A large house can accommodate a group of people comfortably.
