Very friendly staff, a beautiful pub and a characterful room, shame about the damp smell.

Pros: The room was lovely but it smelt there was quite a musty damp smell filling the room from the bathroom.

Great value for money and great location for Harrogate.

Pros: Really nice rooms. Facilities in the room were very good.

Cons: The front of house gentleman. Very sultry - did what was required and no more with regard to booking in, breakfast and booking out. A warmer welcome would have been appreciated.

Lovely Inn for a short stay!

Pros: Lovely Veggie breakfast and the veggie options for dinner were delicious. Had a lovely welcome atmosphered even with all the rain and lost of cozy fires. The room was a great size with clean bathroom and comfy bed. Couldn’t even hear the A road even though my room was on that side. Also super close into town which was convenient!

Cons: Might be nice to have one other veggie main options for dinner. Both the lentil cottage pie and sweet potato burger were delicious. But maybe a simple pasta dish would be a nice addition. There were pizzas too which I didn’t get to try but they sounded tasty!
