Holiday Inn Express Leeds-East by IHG

friendly staff, comfy room and easy to find.

Pros: comfy bed and warm room. Able to make drink in my room late at night. good choice at breakfast.

Cons: the position of the tv on the wall in relation to the bed, as it was not in line with the bed but at an offset angle. No cups to make a hot drink at breakfast and some tables were left with uncleared plates, bowls etc although it was towards the end of breakfast.

Pros: I liked the helpfulness of staff. The hotel is clearly being used to host asylum seekers and homeless families - I have no objection but the breakfast area was consequently crowded and there were lots of children running around. It was a bit cramped and overwhelming. There was also a baby crying during the night. This is not a political point as I am not judging anyone's circumstances but I paid for a peaceful stopover and I don't think the accommodation is appropriate fir serving so many purposes.

Pros: The checking in was quick. The check out was very quick. The beds were comfortable. Parking was free and there were many parking spaces. The buffet breakfast was good. The heating worked well.

Cons: The table and the bathroom door in one of the rooms had large some large scratches/dents. The top of handwash bottle in the second room had some makeup on it.

Nice one night stay at the Holiday Inn Express

Pros: Rooms nice and clean, loved the restaurant next door.

After very long days at work it was an ideal place to crash out.

Cons: I did not like the air conditioning which did not really keep the room warm.
