The Sawley Arms

Lovely stay in the country

Pros: Lovely room in a quiet location. The staff went above and beyond to see to our needs.

Cons: On the pricey side for a pub.

Visiting the area and need to stay overnight ? Stay Here.

Pros: The location for our purposes was excellent. The breakfast selection was also excellent and plentiful. Should we ever visit the area again without hesitation we would book The Sawley Arms.

Cons: This is by no means a complaint but could I suggest that when booking through the booking site it is made clear that breakfast is not included and needs to be ordered and paid for at the premises.

Fabulous cannot recommend enough - we will certainly be returning next year.

Pros: Visiting Fountains Abbey/Studley Deer Park so this was an ideal place to stay overnight. We called in on the first day and realised we could have a breakfast... and it was a fabulous breakfast and great coffee too. The staff couldn't have been any better utterly amazing. We returned late afternoon to check in - fabulous room so spacious, comfortable, clean and very much up to date. Fabulous bathroom/wet room. View across the fields, and also patio doors and small patio area with chairs and table too. Naturally we had an evening meal beside the log burner, so relaxing meal was excellent but we could only manage the starter and main course (so full). Loads of on site parking, a garden and patio (if the weather is warm etc) Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful etc. We will be back to stay again next year to explore a little more of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Cannot recommend enough - absolutely fabulous place

Cons: Our stay was too short...

Excellent room breakfast and the lady who checked me in was especially lovely!

Pros: Was in Ripon for a wedding at Grantley Hall. This hotel was close and convenient to reach Grantley Hall. The room was excellent size well lit and modern bath with enough mirrors. Breakfast and another meal I had was delicious. All in all very comfortable

The pub with a hidden excellent hotel

Pros: Extremely well appointed rooms . Tv in the bathroom! Great Yorkshire fare Friendly helpful staff

Cons: They only have one sit down breakfast bit heavy duty - cooked . Very nice but sometimes you need just light option , continental

Perfect for families

Pros: Perfect family room, good size. Breakfast was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff.

Pros: Spacious room, nice walk-in shower. Dinner was very good. Would recommend staying here.

Great accommodation, spotless, excellent breakfast

Pros: Everything was fabulous! Second time staying here& will definitely be going back. Amazing staff & extremely helpful

Lovely cosy and quaint country pub

Pros: Cosy pub, large car park, attentive and friendly staff, great food very tasty and well presented. Beautifully furnished bedrooms with great attention to detail.

Cons: The main door key was very difficult to use and it took us awhile to get out of the building.

Very comfortable.

Pros: Beautiful room and en suite. Pub was nice but not much atmosphere.

Cons: It is expensive for room only. Breakfast was excellent quality but again very expensive
