Great value for money,excellent location.

Pros: Location excellent, room very clean and comfortable, lounge beautiful, staff very friendly. And teddy the 🐈 just adorable.

Cons: The floor boards in the room very creaky but the age of the house that has to be expected. But that being said wouldn't put me off going back..

Pros: Location was good, just a short walk into the centre. Hotel was cool and chic. Staff were friendly and attentive. Teddy the cat was a lovely touch.

Cons: Struggled with lighting in room when getting ready it was really dark. Extractor fan and towel rail in bathroom both broke so room filled with steam and condensation.

Cosy friendly comfortable quirky , relaxing place to stay

Pros: Exceptionally clean , very different , quirky , everywhere you looked the was something new and different,beautifully presented and very well put together while keeping original features, what a place , I loved it ❤️

Cons: There is nothing not to like !

Pros: The decor, the staff, it felt very warm even with the front door left open and a couple of the windows on the stairs open letting in fresh air but still staying warm. Bedroom was small but had enough space to have everything you would need. Bathroom felt luxurious and clean. A comfy an quite nights sleep. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Cons: I couldn't say I didn't like anything, but if I had to give constructive criticism. We had an empty bottle of shower gel. The English breakfast had under cooked bacon, the black pudding was very soggy and the sausages were not the best. But that is just my opinion and everyone has their own individual taste and preferences.

Lovely venue in a beautiful city.

Pros: Everything was top class. Luxury facilities and luxury breakfast to match.

Cons: We came by train so £20 in taxi fares outweighed the £45 parking charges the venue would have charged. You pay a premium price for the facilities so the expectation was that parking should be included.

Pros: Staff excellent. Location good. Quirky lovely decor. Great comfortable bed and pillows.

Great hotel for exploring York

Pros: Location is fantastic - just 10 minute walk into the centre of York. Hotel has some car parking on site which is unusual for central York hotels. Staff really helpful and friendly

Cons: Decor is very quirky and not to everyone's tastes. We were in the annex and the plumbing was really noisy at night

Pros: Gorgeous boutique hotel-location brilliant. Nice comfortable rooms and spacious bathroom. Delicious breakfast- staff helpful and also a ginger cat resident . Would definitely return.

Cons: Note that you have to pay for parking- £15 a night. When I queried this the receptionist was a little vague, but stated it was due to peak location and shortage of city parking. Also if you want a barista style drink at breakfast it is an extra charge which seems a little excessive.

Lovely quirky hotel in a great location.

Pros: The property was ideally located around 15 minutes walk away from the town. It was clean and the decor was lovely.

Cons: The parking was very minimal.

Beautiful boutique stay in York

Pros: I absolutely loved the decor, plus the location was great if you prefer a little explore / 10 minute gentle walk into the centre The hotel cat was a cute addition and I'm a dog person

Cons: The room although nicely decorated, felt a little cramped
