Great hotel

Pros: Staff friendly and helpful, pool was great, bed was comfy and view was great Great location

Cons: The toilet roll location stopped the toilet flushing properly, Dressing gowns were to small. My wife slipped and jolted her back in the pool area due to it being very wet (i know its had to keep that area dry) , The woman's changing room had mud all over the floor on the Friday. Pillows were thin,

great stay as always just the room could have been closer.

Pros: I have stayed at the Marriott at York a few times now its always the first one I look to book when coming to stay ,room was excellent a little far away right at the end of a long corridor which was a bit overwhelming for my disabled sister to get to would have preferred a room a lot nearer to the entrance on the same floor as reception, cant comment on breakfast as we didnt book that.

Cons: n/a

Special hotel in York

Pros: Breakfast, lots of choice, quality of the food, freshness and presentation. Hotel was of a very high standard and lots of attention to detail. All staff were attentive and friendly. Views from the hotel were lovely as we were next to the race course. Lovely spa, swimming pool and jacuzzi

Cons: The bed and pillows were uncomfortable.

Lovely place for a weekend break in York

Pros: Lovely hotel overlooking the racecourse, with added benefit of spa facilities, it still within a 30 minute walk into the city centre. Lovely staff, nice breakfast and choice of bar menu.

Cons: Wait for check in was quite long. I wonder if additional self check- in would be useful?
