The Woodman Inn

Great find at a great price.

Pros: Fantastic room , quality furnishings can’t fault it . Pub is very nice and prices are good too. Breakfast next morning is great . Staff go out of their way way to make sure you enjoy your stay , highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: superb room/cabin at the rear of car park. comfy,clean, large, plenty of tea and coffee and bottles of water. evening meal in pub, good choices and large portions. craft beer at bar.

Cons: breakfast was disappointing, small selection items of english breakfast not available, possibly because time of year and we were only people staying.

A very enjoyable stay. The young man who served us each day was very polite and friendly. We would return again.

Pros: It was very cold outside when we arrived, but the heating was on and the room was nice and warm. The room was large and clean and the bed was really comfortable. We had both breakfast and evening meals in the Woodman Inn.

Pros: It was quiet and detached from the pub part. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was tasty.

Cons: Wasnt many cold breakfast choices, the shower had poor pressure and temperature regulation.

Pros: Everything. The rooms were great, the beds were comfortable. The staff were brilliant and the food was some of the best meals we have had in a long time. If we are ever up this way again we will stay here

Pros: Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and warm. A very comfortable bed and large, warm, easy to use shower were very much appreciated. Some lovely touches, such as bottled water, a welcome chocolate. So close to A1, this is ideally located. The breakfasts are great! Using the restaurant facility in the evenings was very convenient and the food was delicious!! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 2 night stay. We would certainly return if we visited the area again and if this was local to home, we'd be eating there regularly! We highly recommend The Woodman Arms. Thank you for a great stay.

A perfect break away

Pros: Loved the quiet location. The public areas were very cosy and comfortable and our bedroom was superb with the most comfortable bed ever! Food was also delicious and the staff were so friendly.

Cons: Only one tiny thing - if at all possible then the television on the wall should be lowered as when you sit on the sofa it hurts your neck to look up at it.
