Pros: Large clean comfortable room. In a great location on the high street. Staff friendly and attentive.

Cons: Noise from the street when people coming out from the other pub, but that cant be helped

Will stay there again next time

Pros: The location was excellent right in the centre of town The room although a bit small was very clean and had everything you need. The pub was very good with excellent evening meals Town 24hr parking was only £2.40p and just opposite

Cons: Only the bad weather but the pub made up for that

Pros: A great location, right in the middle of the main street. The staff were very friendly and the pub had some good real ales and a very good selection of lagers. We stayed in room1 which was a king room with a superb comfy bed and a sofa and also a nice big shower. There was a seating area with a mirror and power point for the ladies. Bedale itself has a good selection of local shops and pubs, there's also a Costa coffee shop but we went in the local cafés, which were very good. All in all it was an enjoyable weekend.

Cons: Unfortunately the room suffers from noise from outside and also from the room above which has squeaky floorboards, but I think this has to be expected to an extent due to the buildings age, but you can also hear people in the bar below the room. Nothing excessive but nevertheless it can be a bit difficult to get to sleep. Having said that, the noise wasn't by rowdy behaviour. As a footnote I think that the price is a little too expensive considering it's a room only basis. The cost of £230 for 2 nights isn't what I consider good value, taking into the niggling issues with the noise. Breakfast is available at an added charge of £12.50 but I believe that Breakfast should be included in the price but this is just my personal opinion.

Pros: Very lovely room. Hotel in a cute market town. It has many nice shops and restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and we will be stopping again.

Pros: Great location in the middle of town and it was really quiet at night so I had a great nights sleep! Room was clean and very comfortable. Great value for money!

Fabulous value for money. Beautiful, clean room in a very friendly traditional pub.

Pros: Ideal location for an event at Bedale Hall. Despite being on the high street, and staying on a Saturday night, the hotel was not noisy at all. Extremely comfortable bed & pillows. Room was spotlessly clean. Excellent full English breakfast.

Cons: Breakfast was very good & tasty however the poor chef was on her own & didn't explain where coffee/tea/juice etc where or that toast was self service. We did just have to muddle Ali g, as did other guests. Wasn't a big issue but would have been better to have a waitress or at least an explanation of how they were running things.

Pros: Great accommodation friendly helpful staff and a comfortable bed 10 out of 10 from us lovely room .

A friendly pub and comfortable room in a convenient location

Pros: Very conveniently located in the centre of Bedale, easy to find from the A1, with plenty of parking close by. There was a warm welcome at the pub and the room was large and nicely decorated, the bed was large and comfortable.

Cons: The pub does not serve evening meals on Sunday (the night of our stay) which was disappointing as we were looking forward to a pub meal. However they provide a list of other restaurants in the town and surrounding area

Cosy and comfy

Pros: Nice decor. Very Comfortable bed and pillows and nice linen.

Cons: Continental Breakfasts could have been improved with nicer bread, real coffee and yoghurt.
