The Wheatley Arms

Lovely solo stay. Staff were kind. Room was beautiful.

Pros: Beautifully renovated. I have stayed here before and after renovation. Rooms are lovely.

Cons: Windows let in draft.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the Wheatley Arms. All the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. They help us book a taxi to a wedding that we were attending and assisted us when we were checking in late. Rooms were spotless and our bed was made everyday by the staff.The cooked breakfast every morning was a huge bonus and there were many options to choose from and all were delicious. We would definitely recommend the Wheatley Arms to our friends!

Perfect stay near the Moors

Pros: We loved our stay here - very nice and comfortable room, close to the moors and lovely staff (shout out to victor).

Tremendous small pub-hotel.

Pros: Excellent room, breakfast, staff and service. Brilliant service for a reception event.

Cons: A few more gluten free food options would be great.

Overall I would definitely stay again.

Pros: Great quiet location close to train, bus & road networks in an upmarket private housing area. It’s dog friendly and is used by local people during the day, as a solo female traveller the staff were very friendly & made me welcome++ All the facilities are generously sized, well decorated and in good condition, the cooked breakfast menu was more extensive than I was anticipating. There’s a good range of local beers on tap with cocktails & tea/coffee available.

Cons: Personally I found the pillows rather uncomfortable.

A very comfortable hotel with a few little maintenance problems.

Pros: I liked the public rooms which are very spacious. Our own bedroom was also very big and comfortable, and the bathroom perfectly adequate. Both were well equipped with air dryer, tea-making facilities, bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was superb, and the staff very helpful and attentive.

Cons: Two of the windows in our room (room 3) were equipped with roman blinds which were both broken. Fortunately there was also a French window with frosted glass which gave us some light, but the room was nevertheless very dark. It was also the case of the bathroom where one of the bulbs above the wash hand basin was broken. In the evening some cooking smells kept coming into our room. Fortunately it didn't happen in the morning. This is our second visit to the Wheatley Arms. I would be very happy to come back, but perhaps not in room 3.

Pros: Honestly everything - the staff were so welcoming but not in an intrusive way - there to help - nothing is too much for them - the place is just lovely, high quality furnishings and fixtures throughout. Bedrooms as so lovely and incredible comfortable beds. Shower rooms are gorgeous and high quality with bathroom products provided. No improvements from me! Oh, and the breakfast was lovely! Thank you, will be back.

Had a pleasant stay with friendly helpful staff

Pros: The location was ideal as its close to my relations house and the breakfast was very good

Cons: Nothing other than that the room was poorly lit which on dull winter days makes reading a book or magazine difficult.
