Pros: The Penny Bun is in a lovely location. The staff were very friendly. The food was very good. The room was very stylish and calm. We had a very quiet nights sleep.

Cons: There was no breakfast available. We will go again and try the breakfast then.

Pros: Room 3 is a good sized room with a great shower. Floor heating worked great, and the room is very well insulated - I even turned the heating down during the night. We had stayed in Room 1 December the previous year, and found it too dimly lit, but I am pleased that there was no such issue in Room 3 this year.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Pros: Beautiful location with great views. Only a couple of miles to Ilkley. The property is very stylishly decorated and has a relaxing laid back vibe. Everything is top quality and finished to a high standard. Breakfast was gorgeous, with a continental and cooked breakfast with proper barista coffee included. Looking forward to our next visit.

Cons: The rooms have a nice relaxing zen feel, but they are a little on the dark side. You may need to take a little mirror with a light for make up etc. and a portable reading light if you take a book.

Excellent atmosphere, setting, staff, food, decor. Nothing amiss on quality here!

Cons: The subdued lighting in the room was very atmospheric, however there was no option to switch to a 'normal' room-wide lighting mode for general tasks. Bedside lighting was not positioned sufficiently high to allow for reading in bed, a missed trick. A metal chimney cowl had come loose and rattled persistently in the wind throughout the night - though it was a particularly windy night. Though the quality of the premises, food & experience overall was excellent, for B&B alone it was quite on the expensive side.

Beautiful pub with fabulous food.

Pros: Stunning contemporary decor in a old building. It had a super calm feeling throughout with fabulous spa smells in the bedroom, hall and bar. Really nice background music. Lovely choice of really good wines. The staff were outstanding.😊 We were there for three nights so met quite a few members of the team. Always there to greet you with a smile. We had some delicious food. Massive compliments to the chef. Breakfasts were delicious with fresh orange juice , delicious coffee , amazing croissants, Granola and fruit and that was just for starters. Stunning views from the outside terrace with tables and chairs to enjoy a beer or two. Beautiful comfy beds and bed linen. Shower gel sumptuous.

Cons: Just at times the bedroom was a little dark. Not the best place to apply makeup or to shave( my husband) 🤣

Pros: The place is exceptionally beautiful, well designed and comfortable. Amenities are excellent and the bed was super comfortable. Perfect quiet location, close to Ilkley.

Cons: No human contact or public spaces. Rooms are a bit dark but that's part of the decor.

Fabulous design lead pub. Great welcomibg staff. Food imaginative and local where possible. You wont be dissappiunted

Pros: Gorgeous design. Great location. Good food. Wines and beers/ales well curated. Molly and other staff excellent. Very engaging and helpful. Very professional. The whole place was stunning design sometimes sacrificing design over purpose, but easy to forgive as a whole.

Cons: Better kettle and lighting would be good.

Pros: A very stylish hotel with a calm relaxing vibe. The staff were all pleasant, attentive and efficient. The food and drink was superb, both at breakfast and dinner.

Cons: It was all excellent.

Pros: The Penny Bun exceeded expectations. Loved the pared back but exceedingly comfortable and high quality accommodation. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was delicious, beautifully presented, thoughtfully sourced and served by a very welcoming and capable staff.

Cons: Not to have stayed longer
