Excellent stay highly recommended

Pros: Lovely log fires, excellent service, very welcoming and great staff - nothing too much trouble. Food was fantastic, £27 for two courses - we had turkey dinner and Christmas pudding which was so nice. We had The Big Splash room which was very big, spotlessly clean with a huge walk in shower and roll top bath in the room.

Cons: Nothing really - the room we had was in the attic so if you struggle to climb stairs that may be an issue.

Nice rooms at good location. Check out experience let stay down unfortunately

Pros: Lovely room in good location at a charming village gastro-pub

Cons: Requested late check out at 11 instead of 10am but cleaning lady banging on door at 10. Informed her we had an agreed later check out but she waited sat on stairs outside room till we left just before 11am. Just poor communication between staff really.

Really great, might not sound like it but we would stop again 😊😉

Pros: Great location, really lovely pub/ restaurant,staff were all very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was outstanding husband had Heifer's Best breakfast..... wow, I had zesty avo Benedict... total twist but fantastic.❤️😘

Cons: Feel awful saying this as a bad point but we did mention to the staff , firstly kettle didn't work, then tried different socket in the room whoop whoop success boiled kettle.....nice cup of tea!! No...no milk in room!! ..... went get some from restaurant... door locked as not time for breakfast till 8am 🙁😟 We loved the fact that our bed was themed based on cricket bedhead wicket and bails, but the mattress was rock hard I know it's definitely personal choice but for us both not a particular comfortable night sleep 💤😴
