An excellent property at a good price

Pros: The overall experience from the time we booked the property to our arrival was excellent. The property is of a good standard, with on street parking for a small fee. Good tea and coffee making facilities and beds were very comfortable. Area was very quiet and the property offered really good value for money. We will be returning!!

Our stay at Grange Lodge was exceptional, and we had a lovely time.

Pros: Everything was easy. Check-in was simple and straightforward, and we had a blast! The wifi worked great and the facilities provided were perfect for a weekend in York.

Amazing place

Pros: Location and communication. The check in and out and out processes were very smooth too. The room was clean with excellent facilities. For the price I think it is a very good deal.

Cons: I wasn't sure whether my parking permit payment was recognised or not. Parking permit is for street parking which is plentiful and the permit itself wasn't expensive.

Pros: The Guest House was very easy to find and was in a great location for walking into the centre of York. The self check-in / check-out was very easy and straightforward. We stayed in the Deluxe Room, situated on the ground floor. It was both clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. It was very quiet at night and we had good quality sleep.

Great value for money, would recommend

Pros: Bed and pillow very comfortable; great value for money

Cons: Everything was old - the wool blanket too; noisy from people walking upstairs, wood would make noise and wake us up

Great value room only a 10 minute walk from York city centre.

Pros: Staff were really friendly. Hotel room was clean and exactly as adveristed. Location was perfect, with plenty of parking just outside and only a 5-10 minute walk into the city centre.

Cons: Room was very small and there was only a bifold door separating the bathroom and bedroom which wasn't ideal, but you get what you pay for.

Would definitely return

Pros: Car parking was outside the property via a digital permit paid for in advance which is a great bonus. The accommodation was just short walk to city walls. The room was compact but sufficient for our overnight stay. We’ve stayed at this property several times in various rooms and will definitely return.

Exceptional value for money

Pros: The communication and information sent through from the owners was clear, concise and very friendly. They were accommodating, prompt and personable. We will definitely stay here for our next trip to York and happily recommend it to friends.

Cons: Nothing really :)

Pros: Location was superb, nice and quiet really comfy bed

Pros: It was close to the hospital as I had a family member there
