Great Victoria Hotel

Pros: The breakfast was delicious, the location was excellent , the building was nice and rhe service with luggage storage was good

Cons: The kettle interior was not clean and there appeared to be an excess of middle eastern or arabic looking male staff. Also equipment such as lifts were apparently broken and not repaired. There was also excessive amounts of litter on the nearby walk to the cemetery indicitating a lack of interest in the lical environment

Pros: Central to town, next door to train and buse station. Cheap parking, not hotel carpark.

Cons: Carpark charges £10 per night

Pros: Rooms large and clean. Staff great. Location excellent.

Great, classic, stylish hotrl

Pros: The staff could not be more helpful or lovely if they tried. They cannot be faulted at all. The standard of facilities were great. Water pressure for the shower- exceptional! The bath deep and long. And bath towels that fit my not so small body! Choice of breakfast items was great too.

Cons: Lack of lift aka lots of steps to 4th floor. Staff did check we were ok with the room allocation though.

Lovely building/ great staff/ friendly Manager.

Pros: The easy location next to the town center and the interchange. We liked the friendly staff and the great service from the Manager Anthony and staff Leonie. We liked being able to ask for the little things that made us comfortable - extra tea and coffee and nice clean towels. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Cons: The lack of a good menu- breakfast was fine and served in our room but then nothing on offer until 3pm for sandwiches or pizza and fries or garlic bread. Potential guests need to check what food is available at the hotel. There are plenty of food outlets very close by but eating at the hotel was limited and a bit of a let down because it was cold outside and we didn't want to have to go out during our stay.

Gorgeous, relaxing stay.

Pros: Amazing location, beautiful interior, super quiet room! Really excellent value which exceeded my expectations considering the low cost.

Cons: The lift was out of order which was ok for us even though we were on the top floor but not great for other guests who struggled with a lot of stairs. Not enough tea bags, coffee or milk for more than one cuppa!
