Pros: Very accommodating, had my room all unlocked, warm and lights on for my very late arrival at 23.00. Even left me some proper milk for a cuppa before bed. Very dog friendly and lovely breakfast.

Cons: Road can be a bit noisy in the mornings or the bin men can bang and crash the commercial glass and bins and wake you up, but otherwise nothing.

Perfect

Pros: Our stay was perfect! The room was lovely with amazing views. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and to top it all the food was top notch. 5* all round

Very comfortable stay in excellent location.

Pros: The location is stunning. Staff are very friendly and really made us feel welcome. The room was comfortable with a good sized bath. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Overall, a lovely one night stay in a pub with great food.

Pros: Nice clean room, with good quality bed linen and a nice hot shower. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The fried breakfast was also great. Prices were reasonable.

Cons: It was a non-fundable booking but you could alter the date - which, due to an operation, we did do.

A gem

Pros: Had a great evening, a lovely meal, a wonderful night's sleep, and a delicious breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. Plus, some of the other guests had dogs, loved it!

We had a fantastic stay!

Pros: We especially loved the food and breakfast this is a level above standard pub grub, service was excellent also especially from Tim who was excellent at his job

Cons: The room was very hot which can't be helped as it's a very old building (which we love), and if we opened the window there were lots of.midges. I guess a fan might have helped? The midges were also a problem outside the pub during the evening also but again not the pubs fault.

Definitely make this is a stop off if in Yorkshire. Either food or rest.

Pros: The staff are exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous. Great care and attention on food.

Cons: Prefer a shower in my room. They only had a handheld.

Restorative, welcoming and I was sorry to leave.

Pros: To help myself to cereals and to have a range of choice of hot food which arrived quickly

Cons: I stayed and ate Four evening meals which were delicious. I am very glad I’m not vegetarian or I would’ve been struggling. Just a thought.
