Warmth, comfort and friendship

Pros: Great, proper, pub, wonderful location, amazing staff, friendly, caring and helpful (went out of their way to provide some gluten free beer) . Then add the open fire place with the proper, flavorsome and substantial food on the menu…….this is the icon of a β€˜real’ Dales pub, that are sadly being lost ….. so very grateful to have been able to visited!!!

Cons: Not much, but to be picky…..not much ;-)

Reeth break

Pros: Very welcoming staff. Clean and incredibly dog friendly.

Cons: Continental part of breakfast needs more choice. Cereal is not enough.

Quaint & welcoming stay in the heart of Swaledale

Pros: Last minute getaway to the Yorkshire dales, excellent food, very welcoming staff, super dog friendly, breakfast was an added bonus!

Cons: Floors uneven - to be expected in an older building . No other negatives

The perfect escape into a welcoming, characterful pub - surrounded by beauty.

Pros: A gorgeous old pub with a tonne of character, set in a beautiful village surrounded by stunning rivers and hills - lovely, friendly and welcoming staff - and two real fires bringing the cozy! A group of really great musicians play every thurs, which is such a lovely addition. I was made to feel very at home (the landlady even checked i was warm enough as it was a snowy few days), and enjoyed amazing breakfasts and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. It was very hard to leave - I hope I get to return again before too long! πŸŒ„

Excellent

Pros: This was our third visit to the black Bull and we love the friendly cozy atmosphere of the coal fire and the village its self is so welcoming and stunning. Loved the food and the buskers made our stay. All round great little pub with friendly staff

Cons: One thing that was a bit disappointing was the toilet in the room was very cold and would benefit from a heater in the colder months

Great for a night stay

Pros: The location for the C2C was great. Beer and food were good including breakfast. The room was fine and shower very good.

Cons: Nothing, it’s odd so get used to walking on the slant.

Everything I needed for a perfect stay in Reeth.

Pros: A lovely place to stay. Great location, friendly team, good value. Plenty of piping hot water and a room with a bath. Full English breakfast was exceptional. Would highly recommend to other travellers.

Cons: Liked everything.

Warm welcome after a drive across the misty moors.

Pros: Warm, friendly welcome and no fuss check in. Excellent food at dinner and a more than you can eat full English breakfast to set you up for the day. Comfortable bar if you like a drink before and after the meal.

Cons: Some modernisation needed on the facilities and decor but they acknowledge this.
