Pros: Can't thank the staff of the Richard lll and the locals of Middleham enough for a fabulous weekend . The staff and locals so welcoming for such a relaxing atmosphere for me my wife and our dog , Having such a big dog sometimes can be a little nervous how people react but us and he was welcome from start to finish of our stay and looking forward to going back . Good food , wife says the flavour of the chilli was the best she's had . Would like to thank the staff and wish the new Landlord and landlady all the best in there new adventures
Cons: The hospitality from staff great atmosphere and town history

Good value, friendly pub to stay in.
Pros: Central location by the market square so lots of parking available. You could also see race horses going up to the gallops for their morning exercise. Great beer and wine!
Cons: Slightly noisy from traffic early in the morning.

A great place to stay
Pros: Friendly staff, who were very helpful. Great pub atmosphere with delicious food and a great menu range. Parking right outside. Good shower and Hairdryer provided.
Cons: No breakfast was available which was a little disappointing. Rooms are a little small to be expected in these older properties.

Warmest welcome, friendliest pub, excellent hosts and a clean room.
Pros: Lovely place. The pub was fabulous and the owners James and Kelly went over and above to make our stay a top one. Kelly’s welcome was so warm and friendly. Her homemade Steak Pie for tea was amazing.
Cons: Nothing. It was a great place to stay.

Location & facilities.
Pros: The room was comfortable, it had everything you could need. Liked the warmth of the room, the plentiful, wooden coat hangars and the large bathroom. Bed was comfy, room was clean, with all you would expect in terms of facilities, tea & coffee, toiletries, etc.
Cons: I was out and about on the day I stayed, so hadn't eaten. Asked just after 8pm if there was any food available, was told no. Nothing - not even a sandwich offered. I ended up buying a cold pasty from the local shop. Definitely a lost sales opportunity. I got back to the pub just before 11pm to find the place in total darkness!! Not really what I would expect on a Saturday evening. I understand this might be a thing in a village, but no-one mentioned on check in that the pub would shut at a certain time. It was a proper panicky moment when I thought I might be sleeping on the bench out the front! After banging on the door for a while, I was eventually given entry, via a back door. Not very welcoming.
