Diamonds Lodge near York Hospital

A lovely stay

Pros: The room downstairs is near the kitchen. Very private. Lovely room. Cooking facilities available. Ideal location. Warm welcome.

I would recommend the Diamond Lodge for short stays.

Pros: The room and bed linen were clean as were the towels. Enough coffee, tea and bottled water. Also, there was enough shower gel. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons: The room and bedding were here was a strange smell coming from the bathroom. The worn out parts of the room and bathroom need to be renovated. I expected parking within the property and not on the street. When I booked the room I got the impression that they had private parking on their property.clean.

Convenience and the key nd , mindful staff

Pros: Convenient and Quiet. The Staff was mindful of Safety and risk. They moved me in another room when they recognised the hazard as no fire alarm in the original room I am staying in.

Cons: Nothing Just Maybe the seasonal price can be expensive

Pros: Very cosy comfortable room. All facilities were there as described. Easy check in. Perfect location for me - I wanted somewhere near the hospital to visit relatives. Very happy with everything.

Comfortable economical accomodation close to city centre

Pros: Located opposite York hospital. 10-15; mins walk to the Minster. 5 mins walk to Coop, Indian restaurant, Thai restaurant and takeaway pizza. Comfortable, warm well equipped room. Good value .

Cons: My ground floor single room was accessed through the kitchen which is not ideal but the room itself was fine. Can't speak for other rooms.

Pros: Fantastic location. Room on bottom floor which was great.

Cons: No breakfast. Dropped phone down side of bed and that part of wall could do with a wipe. Price could be a little cheaper as theres no breakfast.

A nice comfy room really near to York city centre and very reasonably priced.

Pros: Diamond Lodge was very easy to find. The checking in arrangements were very easy to follow. I had a nice hot shower as soon as I arrived. The room was lovely and warm (it was very cold weather outdoors). Everything required was provided including a hair dryer, toiletries, fluffy towels, kettle, things to make drinks, and a tv. I slept very well as the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The checking out instructions were very straight forward. I would definately stay at Diamond Lodge again in the future. It is also very near to York hospital so ideal for anybody who needs somewhere to stay regarding a visit to the hospital. Additionally it is a short walk away from York city centre. The lady who greeted me on arrival was very nice and explained everything I needed to know about the key card, wifi etc.

Pros: Everything you need is there, mini fridge great idea. Comfortable nights sleep, complimentary items good and not a bad location right next to a bus stop.

Cons: We arrived late and had to phone someone to get in. I don't hear too well so this can be tricky for me. I didn't try to use it but my husband got scalded by the shower. He said it just went very hot all of a sudden. There was no one there to report this to this morning though.
