I love the area and the hotel.
Pros: I have stayed here several times in the past, but I got a great deal becuase I booked before change of hands, so thank you for honouring that. I like the way that the cottages (they call them that) it is bijou, with excellent kitchen equipment, microwave, kettle, wine glasses etc, the bathroom contains a shower and toliet, with hand-wash provided, the shower also provides gel, there are also plenty of towels for one to use.
Cons: This is the bit I do not like. When I arrived after 2.15 I was greeted by staff member and whilst I was waiting she used the pad to complete my booking, however whilst she was doing this, another female staff member came across and proceed to take the pad from her, feeling her job was more important, but a look from young lady (don't you dare) was enough. I decided to go into the bar on Christmas eve approx 9.35pm, whilst I was sat I was spoken to by a couple who lived In the area, but whilst I was talking,a man from the fire pit came over and said to gent I was talking to! Said You sitting over with us? He politely said I will just have this drink! And he returned to his seat, however his wife was not happy with this, and promptly walked over and said to the lady! You still sitting there, before heading to powder her nose! The lady I was speaking to was made to feel uncomfortable and walked over, and so did the husband, so it shows that if one is not a local then you will be made to feel like an outcast. So to the owners of Pendle Inn Whilst I understand that you can't.make locals talk to non locals, I would like to ask if you or any other staff member see this or know of it happening, then please kindly Inform your locals ! that whilst you love them they cannot sustain the business alone without the help of tourism, and therefore please be polite to them as we wish them to return. Whilst I was staying at this great establishment I found no knifes to cut vegetables but only dining knives, not good if you wish to prepare a meal! I see no reason of why this is the case as all persons who book this hotel have to be over 18. There was two little problems but I Informed staff of this.

Pros: Great location. Annex are well kitted out. Bar has great food and staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome.
Cons: This is our second stay the first under the new owners. The food is better this time. The cleanliness of the accommodation was not as good. It wasn’t dirty just a bit less care. More cobwebs and small details like only one half toilet roll.
