The Tempest Arms

Pros: The reception staff was excellent every day. Most of the food service staff was lovely. All the food we tried was delicious. We needed some help from reception to find light switches, work the tv remote and Lauren went out of her way to make sure everything was in good working order in our room.

Cons: When we arrived on Sunday we had no parking space and sat in the lot for about 20 minutes for a car to leave from the Sunday Lunch. We had a negative experience on our first dinner reservation being seated by a waiter who really did not seem at all interested in the fact we did have a reservation, and left us standing for five minutes at the podium after we told him we had a table reserved. Perhaps he had a long day but so had we.

Perfect stay in the Yorkshire Dales.

Pros: Lovely property, with a proper country feel. Stunning room with garden view onto the river, felt very homely and spacious. Then breakfast including in the price which was delicious. Went into the pub on the evening with a lovely traditional log burning fire. Perfect weekend break, highly recommend!

A Wonderful Stay At This Beautiful Hotel and Restaurant

Pros: I booked this two night break to coincide with my wife’s birthday, and as a little Winter treat. The hotel met all my expectations (and my wife’s but it was a surprise for her) and then some. Our bedroom was of a very good standard and was nice and warm with a thermostat for our control. The breakfast each morning was cooked with plenty of different options, with cereals and juice also available. On the second night we had an evening meal which did not disappoint with choice and quality. All together a very enjoyable stay, all aided by wonderful staff, and we will definitely recommend the Tempest and look to stay again in the future, many thanks 👏👍

Cons: No shaver socket in the en-suite

Great staff lovely food and overall great stay

Pros: A lovely place to stay wonderful attentive staff and a delicious meal/breakfast. The room (5)was comfortable but we had a view of a rooftop. The £125 we spent should have at least given us a glimpse of the lovely scenery. Would definitely recommend.
