Beautiful location, warm and welcoming and excellent food

Pros: Sunday roast best we have had and the breakfast was too - clearly locally sourced ingredients, a huge breakfast and very tasty. Lovely welcoming pub with live music on a Sunday night and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Pros: The bottle store was a nice and comfortable place to stay. The food was on a nice level too. A very filling breakfast in the morning.

Brilliant for a midweek overnight stay

Pros: Last minute booking, travelling to work. Brilliant room and service. Easy to contact to update arrival time, and able to accommodate early checkout, greeted with a key and fresh milk for a beautiful cafetière of coffee in the morning. If I was being picky a shelf/extra hook in the bathroom for toiletries and fluffier loo roll would elevate this experience to something akin to perfection. Hope to be back, preferably in time to enjoy the pub too. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay, breakfast excellent apart from the white bread. Rooms very clean and warm.

Pros: Very warm and cosy and very clean. Lovely to get into crisp white sheets! Bed very comfy and nice to have the seperate seating area upstairs.

Cons: No milk cartons or sachets supplied for tea and coffee. Coffee jar almost empty. Difficult to fill the kettle from the bathroom sink tap. Wasnt offered brown or white bread for breakfast - dont like white! Shower not the best, very slow and intermittent cold and warm water and the shower screens were a bit wobbly

Cons: Only slight negative comment. Breakfast was 9-11. For those heading to work. A bit late in morning. Even 8am start would give more people option. Breakfast was outstanding. More people should get opportunity to enjoy.

Great pub, with good food, drink and accommodation.

Pros: Great pub with good food, beer and atmosphere. The room was great and very comfortable. We stayed for two nights and on both mornings we had their breakfast which was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: The room was Very clean,warm and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the pub was very good including the vegetarian A really nice pub that takes dogs. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable warm and welcoming

Pros: Evening meal was very good and we had a good choice of food; it wasn't a menu of just burgers and pizzas thank goodness.
