Very delightful one night stay

Pros: Has just recently been updated and decor wonderful Stayed one night at £89 including a very nice breakfast Few minutes walk into centre of knaresborough

An excellent property, exceeded expectations and very good price.

Pros: Standard of room, property had been refurbished in 2023 and it showed in standard of room and bar area. Lovely friendly staff ,especially young lad who booked us in.

Cons: Room temperature did vary from very warm to cool without any means to regulate. Had red Thai curry from menu and the colour of sauce was very off-putting, looked too red to come from natural ingredients.

Will be back

Lovely stay in Knaresborough

Pros: Brilliant location and comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious!

Cons: Service for our evening meal could have been better but food was nice.

Pros: The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, they were very helpful with the points system and how to earn the free food and drinks. The hotel is comfortable and well maintained and the location is perfect to see Knaresborough and close to the train station to visit York or Harrogate.

Cons: I consider myself an animal lover and I’ve had many pets including dogs but I don’t agree with allowing dogs into dining areas. Each mealtime there was a procession of wet dogs wandering past our table, and some barking at other dogs. I just don’t see a need for it, leave them in the room, car or outside. Maybe the hotel could use a separate room for diners with dogs.

Pros: I arrived very late in the evening (23/2/26) - getting on for midnight - due to traffic delays. I was greeted warmly by a young staff member who showed outstanding customer service. After a long difficult journey (that delayed his departure after his shift) he welcomed me, signed me in and was upbeat and positive. An absolute star. Thank-you!

Great stay, very welcoming, great staff. Just the bed my only point.

Pros: Good location, clean tidy great staff, great breakfast.

Cons: Bed was a bit lumpy. Not much of a mattress, not much sleep.

Cons: Room was near kitchen and noise from fans through the night was annoying

Beautiful, cosy stay with welcoming staff and exquisite food

Pros: The room was very clean, tidy, quiet and cosy. Good facilities provided in the room, such as hairdryer, iron and ironing board, kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The interior decorating was warm and comforting. The food was very reasonably priced, high qualify and the portions were huge.

Cons: The room was rather warm and did not have a lot of air-flow, and you could not safely open the window overnight. The shampoo/body wash and conditioner provided was not the best quality, so it would be best to bring your own.

Perfect location, great parking But superb staff

Pros: Location perfect for us, we use here and go by train to York

Cons: Rooms are so so small. - and having to wait an hour for food on an evening, but it was fine really
