Will definitely be staying here any time we are in York and will be recommending to everyone

Pros: We loved the whole experience, super easy to find and all completely private. Instructions on how to enter are sent in advance. Clean, cosy and so much fun! 20 minutes walk along the river to the centre.

Mystical.

Pros: Everything was spot on it was lovely and it’s only 10 minute walk into York, clean and some funny bits inside on the shelf. Bed was lovely and comfy, if you need somewhere secret and quirky this is it!

Cons: Absolutely nothing!!!!

Pros: Loved the whole stay. The Hovel is perfect, cosy, fun, and has all its charm (and witchiness). We watched a couple of the films provided and they added to the magic of the stay!

Cons: absolute no things we didn’t enjoy!

The most magical stay. Ideal on street parking within 50ft of the property. Easy accessible private entrance! Everything

Perfect

Pros: So perfectly imagined and so much attention to detail. Like a little hideaway, such a beautiful little place to recharge and only a short walk along the river into York town centre. There’s a shop on the corner too for little essentials if you need them, although I think the hosts literally thought of everything. Even let us check in early unexpectedly.

Cons: Absolutely nothing at all!

Pros: Compact, but with everything you could need for a short stay and an easy walk along the river to town. LOTS of character and definitely unique.

Fantastic eye for detail and a lovely stay

Pros: Awesome gem of a property. My daughter loves witchy things and the theme was inventive and superb, the detail was amazing.

Cons: I was carrying my bags in and tripped over a black box which was in the middle of the floor which jolted my hip (has been replaced) and that wasn’t the best.

SIMPLY MAGICAL

Pros: This place is truly amazing, creative and well put together. It was surprisingly warm and inviting upon arrival and that warmth continued throughout our entire stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, I was out like a light!! The attention to detail was fabulous, and the communication from the owner prior to our stay made it extra special and added to the mystical magic. We highly recommend and encourage anyone to stay here who wants a unique and fun experience in York. It was the highlight of our trip!

Pros: The quirkyness of the place was fantastic. Loved the kitchen area with all the bottles and funny labels. The cauldron was a bonus that made us chuckle Bed was so comfy. Check in was easy and problem free with great instructions of how to get into the property.

Cons: Parking could be a bit of a problem
