Faultless- will return when next in the area. Luxurious room in a beautiful building and great staff

Pros: Absolutely exceptional- best accommodation experience I've had for a long time! The staff were all friendly and helpful and were good enough to accommodate a late check in and all went above and beyond. The room was luxurious, delightfully decorated and very homely with a very comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. The other guests were also lovely. Breakfast was fantastic- great quality, well cooked and a generous portion. My only comment would be if breakfast could open a little earlier than 08:30.

Cons: I may have missed it, but it would have been nice for the breakfast times to be published on page/website.

Pros: I received such a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was lovely. They had a singer on that evening in the pub, I was invited to join in. Having been tired, I relaxed in my room, it was as quiet as a sanctuary.

Little gem of a pub

Pros: This is a lovely and cozy pub. It is in a great location, accessible to many walks. The room was so comfortable, shower was great and we had a few drinks in the pub in a Friday and there was a great atmosphere with live music. I would love to return.

Totally relaxed, comfortable, warm with friendly staff .

Pros: Greeted with a smile, all staff were friendly. The room was absolutely stunning and I nearly booked another night, wish I had! Was like having a spa in the bathroom. The bed and pillows were probably the best I've slept on, best night sleep I've ever had. Really hope to return if I'm ever in the area.

Cons: Having to leave!

Great all round for us. Will certainly be back again.

Pros: Lovely staff. Great fresh food. Stayed here several times before and never been disappointed.

Cons: Shower lacked pressure but we also had a bath so no real issue overall. No cause to complain.

Perfect cozy pub and delightful accommodation

Pros: Lovely pub. Restaurant was really nice food was good. We had the steak and it was cooked exactly how we asked for it to be cooked. Service was excellent from checking in to our room, our evening meal and delicious breakfast. All the staff we had the pleasure to meet were lovely couldn’t do enough to make our stay so comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable with nice little extra touches. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Would definitely stay here again if visiting York.
