Very good for the money - don't expect the Ritz if you're not prepared to pay Ritz prices!

Pros: Location was excellent for our needs - within an easy 3 - 4 minute drive to our relative's house in Easingwold. Located off a relatively well used road, but far away enough for traffic noise not to be an issue. Staff / Management pleasant and welcoming - and checked that rooms were ok for us once we'd viewed them. Both rooms that we occupied were comfortably sized, not at all cramped. Well equipped for the price - comfortable bed, tv, kettle (with plenty of tea, coffee, milk), hairdryer, desk, plenty of hanging space for clothes, good mirrors. Bathroom not cramped either, and like the bedroom, well-lit. Shower over bath plenty powerful, though took a little while to heat up. Well heated throughout - we didn't freeze in early February, in fact I had to turn the radiator down in my own room.

Cons: Some marks on paint on walls (inevitable in a busy establishment with a steady throughput of tired guests carrying heavy suitcases). Plenty of electrical sockets in room for charging tech, but in my room, none near the bed - a long charging cable was needed for my phone. Although the room was not \

Pros: I love that it was spacious and the bath. It felt clean.

Cons: That when I arrived the dude was brushing his teeth casually while I was banging in the door... that was ordinary.

Pros: Staff were excellent and so helpful. Thry could not have done more

Cons: Location was hard to find initially but this did not detract from the staff going above and beyond

Cons: Staff didn’t seem to understand the meaning of accessible room. I spoke to staff prior to arrival asking specifically about accessible room and they suggested I change by booking to a particular room which I did but it was not an accessible room. On arrival staff couldn’t quite understand the meaning of a walk in shower but eventually after a lot of communication I discovered every room had a shower over bath. To make up for it the owner offered half price food on the first night. However he did need reminding of this on the night.

Good value for money

Pros: The restaurant downstairs was fantastic we had an evening meal and it was beautiful and the staff were fantastic.

Comfortable and clean. A bit difficult to find the entrance to the building. Apart from that, all ok.

Cons: Awkward check in no one there had to call, said we could park round back but when we did a guy brushing his teeth next too the bins said no. Loose shower head fired against the wall as the taps were too powerful so wet all my clothes. Apart from that it was a decent stay tbh.
