A traditional country hotel in a charming market town

Pros: Quaint and old fashioned with good facilities and service. The staff were very pleasant, efficient and helpful. We will definitely visit again

Pros: Staff friendly, large room, bed, clean. Bath/shower also well maintained, clean. Noise from other rooms and pub was limited, not too late at night.

Confident it would be an Excellent stay

Pros: We were visiting family and just needed to sleep. So no need of a good view. Room 11 looks out a wall Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff. We have eaten at the pub in the evening on other visits . The food is always excellent.

Very nice for a one or two night stay, nice food and pleasant surrounding in a lovely village setting, not far from York

Pros: The bedrooms are all unique, well decorated and clean. The bedding is crisp and the bed comfortable. The evening meal was delicious. The waiting staff are very polite and pleasant. We liked the checkout at 11am.

Cons: The breakfast was nice but not as good as the evening meal.
