Surprisingly nice caravan, handy for York and local area.

Pros: The caravan itself was really nice, a good size, very tidy clean and cozy. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a shower room. The main living area, was large with a comfy living room area with large sofa, coffee table and TV. Kitchen and dining area was adequate size for a caravan and well equipped with gas hob and oven, microwave, air fryer, kettle and toaster. The caravan was very warm, it was winter when we visited and it was cold and torrential rain outside but inside the caravan was very well heated.

Cons: Only downsides to the stay was unfortunately the pub does not do food anymore, other than Sunday lunches although there was a nice chip shop just next door. Still it would make the stay much nicer if the pub served food. The other minor issue for some may be the unavoidable noise from the pubs beer garden area which is right next to the caravan. The weather was horrible when we were staying so there were only a few people outside under the covered area, but I imagine it can get quite busy and loud during the finer weather seasons. That said the pub was very friendly and welcoming and all the locals were very friendly, so if you just fancied the night in the pub then retire to your caravan it’s perfect.

Looking forward to my next visit already

Pros: Third visit to this clean, cosy location. It is a perfect base for visiting family and friends in the area.

Cons: Could do with the steps replacing and a hand rail added and the catch on the double bedroom door is a bit hit and miss.

Very nice all round. Would stay again for sure

Pros: Nice breakfast all supplied, eggs, bread etc. Spacious static home, very comfortable, nice cooker & bathroom. In pub grounds but very quiet, even though we were there on a Saturday. Shops nearby, on edge of tadcaster so very convenient all round

Cons: All good, nothing to criticise

Simple caravan stay

Pros: Stayed here as I was doing a job in the area, and it fit the bill - easy to find location, friendly and helpful on arrival, spacious enough for one person, easy check-in and check-out process. I didn't really make much use of it though other than to sleep when I got back. But the breakfast provided was very substantial, with some delicious bacon!

Cons: In the hot weather, it was difficult to cool the caravan down, even with the windows and doors open. I didn't have the best night's sleep in the bed, but that may just be me being used to my own mattress at home

Convinent location, fantastic self cook breakfast, perfect for families.

Pros: Convenient location for my needs, fantastic breakfast supplied for you to cook.

Cons: Although it never bothered me, the outside area needs a through clean up and the steps to the mobile home need looking at, it looks nothing like the pictures on the booking website. The right hand tap on sink in the main toilet does not work, other than that the facilities were as described.

Good shout

Pros: Comfortable bed and good shower. Got 2 most important things right. Had a nice pint in the bar and plenty of parking. Will definitely use again.

Cons: Unfortunately not doing food at the moment. Bit rural so takeaway delivery options limited. However got a fully equipped kitchen so you can always cook your own. It's next to the beer garden and kids play area so might be a bit noisy early evening. Would think it always quiets down before bedtime.

Really nice people. Lovely big caravan

Pros: The fresh eggs from Henrietta the Chooky. A big breakfast was provided. The staff we met on arrival were jovial (and lovely and reassuring on the phone when we saw how late we would be) The caravan is nice and big and clean. The seating areas are all huge. Having 2 toilets is great travelling as a family. The outside area is fatastic with seating and bbq. Its my favourite holiday stop. And I love hwaring the chickens talking. And although they dont always serve food you can buy drinks from the pub, and its within walking distance of a cheap very friendly venue for food and drink, and the garage is closeby for ice cream.
